SRAM Art Benefit for World Bicycle Relief

The bicycle component maker SRAM sent assorted parts to 80 noted artists, including Jan Chenoweth, John Kowalczyk and Rebecca Trevino, and challenged them to create original works for a worthy cause. The resulting sculptures and collages, including the whimsical Spunk by Patricia Vader (above), will be auctioned to benefit World Bicycle Relief on Thurs., Nov. 29, at Cedar Lake Theater in Chelsea.

The juried exhibition and gala event marks the SRAM pART Project’s debut in New York City, following a display at the Interbike industry trade show in Las Vegas and an exhibition and auction in Chicago in 2011.
